Vincent J. McGravey

METHUEN -- Vincent J. McGravey, 84, died Thursday at Lawrence General Hospital.

He was a firefighter in Lawrence for 32 years.

Born and educated in Lawrence, Mr. McGravey graduated from Lawrence High School and served in the Army Air Forces during World War II. He was a member of the Mutual Relief Association of the Lawrence Fire Department.

The widow of Gloria (Sicard) McGravey, he leaves his daughters Kathleen and her husband Harvey Bergeron of Loudon, N.H., and JoAnn M. McGravey of Salem, N.H.; son Robert and his wife Joyce of Freemont, N.H.; brothers Francis M. of Methuen and Joseph B. of Florida; sisters Catherine Montibello of Haverhill and Patricia McCarthy and Claire Lamond, both of Lawrence; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several niece and nephews.

Memorials can be made to a charity of one's choice.

ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours are tomorrow from 4 to 8 p.m. at Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence. A funeral Mass will be Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Monica's Church, Methuen. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
